About Maple Falls
Maple Falls grew up where the Mt. Baker Highway meets Silver Lake Road — a store, a post office, and the turnoff to Silver Lake Park. Around it, the Columbia Valley holds Kendall, the Peaceful Valley and Paradise Lakes communities, and hundreds of cabin lots platted in the 1960s and 70s when the ski area made the foothills a weekend destination. Today it's a mix: full-time residents who commute to Bellingham or Lynden, second-home owners, and cabin owners who rent to skiers and hikers.
Housing runs the whole range — manufactured homes and original cabins on small HOA lots, remodeled chalets, newer stick-built homes, and acreage with shops and river frontage. Almost everything is on septic. Water is community systems in the platted communities and wells elsewhere, and the HOA you buy into matters as much as the house.

Most are on septic. Water is a mix: community systems in Peaceful Valley, Paradise Lakes and parts of the Columbia Valley, private wells elsewhere. Irena confirms the system and its history for each home.
